Etsy: find a refund after card replacement
For an Etsy.com buyer’s direct credit/debit-card purchase with a refund already issued. Exclude PayPal, wallets and installment providers. The English-US help locale establishes no jurisdiction.
Etsy’s refund-location guide, payment/refund-method and card sections:
Find Your account → Purchases and reviews → View receipt. Check Payment Method and Refund History; the refund-confirmation email identifies the actual refund method. An absent order can mean a different account or guest purchase. A promised refund without issuance needs the shop’s help.
- Replacement card issued: Etsy says the refund should appear automatically on it. Etsy cannot redirect the refund to a different card.
- Card invalid, no replacement: ask the card provider how to receive the refund.
- Etsy credit destination: check the purchasing Etsy account’s credit balance instead of expecting a card credit.
For card-posting help, contact the card provider; some refunds appear near the original purchase date on statements.
