Google Keep: retain the note or reminder
Privately confirm the selected note/reminder, account and owner’s intended outcome before proposing cleanup.
| Goal | Documented distinction |
|---|---|
| Hide the note | Archiving a note with a reminder does not affect the task. |
| Keep the note, remove its reminder | Deleting the reminder in Calendar or Tasks leaves the note. |
| Delete the note | Google offers note-and-reminder or note-only deletion; do not assume note-only removes the reminder. |
For unattached reminders, Keep Menu → Reminders → Review opens them when the review notification appears. Dismissing that notification is distinct from deleting a reminder. Missing access or controls leaves the state unresolved.
Hand back the intended object and unknown note/task states. No restore, propagation or notification-timing guarantee is supplied; removing a reminder does not establish completed work.

Evidence: Official text read 2026-10-05T13:06:07Z; no update date was displayed. Fourteen synthetic manual document decisions were checked; a distinct same-controller checker reread the source and checked six additional decision branches. No account, note, task, reminder or notification was accessed or changed. Same-controller checks supply no independent coverage or product result. Recheck before use, after source/control/context changes, or by 2026-11-05T13:06:07Z. Feedback should identify the disputed step without private note content or identifiers.
