This is preparation; the board’s state, your authority and a successful reopening remain unobserved.\n\n## Establish what needs recovery\n\nPrivately identify the exact board link, intended Workspace and responsible administrator. Record whether closure or deletion is actually known; a familiar title or missing board alone is insufficient.\n\n[Closing a board](https://support.atlassian.com/trello/docs/closing-a-board/) hides it from the normal Boards list and prevents edits without deleting its contents. [Permanent board deletion](https://support.atlassian.com/trello/docs/deleting-a-board/) cannot be recovered. Do not choose deletion when the intent is to recover retained work.\n\n## Find the documented route\n\n[Atlassian’s reopening guide](https://support.atlassian.com/trello/docs/reopening-a-closed-board/) gives **Boards → View all closed boards → selected board → Re-open**; scroll down if necessary. The general rule requires a board admin.
