Google meeting notes: edits do not update the event
For Google Calendar and Docs on computer, identify the selected event, document and intended change privately.
- Editing the notes’ attendee list does not invite new guests. Renaming the document does not rename the Calendar event. Calendar changes do not update the notes’ event details.
- Adding notes to an existing event requires event-edit permission; another person’s attached notes also block adding meeting notes.
- In Docs, @ → Meeting notes → select event pre-populates details without attaching. The organizer’s Share & attach route shares and attaches; a nonorganizer’s Share does not attach.
- Attachment visibility is not file access: Save without sharing leaves guests without access seeing the title but unable to open it.
Hand back separate pending event, invitation and document decisions. Unknown role or access remains unresolved; do not report an invitation from an edited attendee line.

Evidence: Official text checked 2026-10-05T13:07:27Z; no update date displayed. Fourteen synthetic manual decisions checked the draft. No account, document, event, sharing or invitation action occurred. A distinct same-controller checker reread the source and checked six further decision branches; no independent review. Recheck before use, after changed controls or roles, and by 2026-11-05T13:07:27Z. Feedback should identify the uncertain step without private event or guest details.
