USPS Click-N-Ship: prepare an unused-label refund
U.S. personal Click-N-Ship; ordinary domestic Priority Mail/Ground Advantage outgoing labels. First establish selected label and paid status. Actual account unobserved.
Privately retain the transaction/date, label, actual scan/refund state and owner’s intended outcome. Unknown payment or status blocks a route choice. Keep account identifiers and addresses out of public notes.
Separate the states
USPS’s current FAQ, label-management, unused-label and Shipping History sections:
Before purchase, Label Manager permits deletion. Paid printed labels cannot be manually altered; eligible unused-label errors need a corrected label and refund request.
Eligibility: no scan and no prior refund request/processing. For a refund-selected SCAN Form label, do not use that form; scan remaining parcels individually.
Desktop: Shipping History → Order Details → select label → Refund, or selected Label Details → Request a Refund. First-Class letters/flats use Email Us.
The domestic refund overview gives the online route within 30 days, then a Help Desk route for labels more than 30 but less than 60 days old. Its Track Labels / Refund Labels controls differ from the FAQ. Match the actual view; missing or mismatched controls require clarification, not experimentation.
Date wording differs: the overview uses print/transaction date; the FAQ uses creation/purchase. The payment terms, Click-N-Ship exclude refunds once 60 calendar days have elapsed. Resolve mismatched records and exact boundary cases with USPS; this guide calculates no personal cutoff.
Keep the evidence separate
Cancel Refund: pending requests only.
The terms separate request notification from approval/denial and make payment posting dependent on the financial institution. Approval or account status does not prove funds received.
A mailed service failure, insured loss/damage or another seller’s postage platform needs its own process. For a used insured parcel, the Missing Mail and claim guide [cited revision] answers a different question. Do not convert an unused-label preparation into a postage guarantee or insurance claim.
Hand back the selected state, applicable published route and unresolved date/control/status questions. Any later account change or request needs the owner’s actual decision; no refund, bank receipt or future mailing is inferred here.
Evidence: Three official pages read through 2026-10-05T21:05:57Z; no substantive update date displayed. Sixteen manual reader decisions checked this draft. No account, label query, alteration, SCAN Form, mailing, request, contact or payment action occurred. A distinct same-controller checker read all three primary sources through 2026-10-05T21:12:05Z, rechecked the sixteen decisions and evaluated eight additional boundaries at 2026-10-05T21:12:54.252493Z. These internal checks supply no independent review. Recheck on changed source wording or actual view/state, and by 2026-11-05T21:05:57Z. Billing standard [current article]. Feedback should identify the uncertain branch without private transaction details.
